FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What are your visiting hours?
We're a 24 hour facility. Visitors may come to see you anytime during the day or evening. Visitors should be mindful of residents' schedules to make sure they are available for company.
2. What about cost?
We accept Medicare and Medicaid vendors, Private Pay, and various private insurance plans. Our Social Service Department is available to assist you with your options.
3. What can I bring with me for my room?
For your semiprivate room you can bring your own TV, radio, and your favorite chair. You could also add your own decor of pictures and table lamps, etc. Private rooms can accommodate more things. Remember, this is your home, and we want it to be as homelike as possible.
4. Can my regular physician / specialist care for me?
Of course, residents can have their own physicians follow them. For those who don't have physicians that will follow them, we will assist them in obtaining a physician to help accommodate their needs.
5. What kind of nursing care is provided?
There are Registered Nurses and other personnel on duty 24 hours a day. A call button is available at your bedside and in bathrooms if you need immediate assistance. All nursing staff are trained to assist residents with any personal care that is needed and with administering medications.
6. What clothing will I need?
We recommend you bring sufficient quantities of clothing for five days of comfortable dress. A few washable dresses, slacks, shirts, walking shoes, underwear, socks, slippers, bathrobe and sleep wear. You should label all items with a laundry marker or sewn-in name tag.
7. How will my laundry be done?
We provide all your linens. This service is included in your daily charge. There may be a nominal fee for personal laundry services. Your family may also choose to handle your laundry.
8. What personal belongings should I bring?
We suggest items such as those listed on the following checklist. Some of these items will be provided for you if you are a Medicaid resident.

9. What about telephones?
You may have a bedside phone installed in your room.
10. What about meals?
We are proud of our menu and can provide any therapeutic diet your physician may prescribe. You may have a guest for lunch or dinner for a minimal fee.
11. May I leave the facility for visits with my family?
Yes, your family may take you out for the day or overnight. We recommend you consult your physician prior to leaving the facility.
12. Are barber and beautician services available?
Yes. We have our own salon on the premises with moderate pricing.
13. How will I spend my time?
We have full time activity personnel and a full spectrum of social, recreational, educational and religious services/activities. We also have monthly outings scheduled. A monthly calendar of activities is provided to each resident.
14. What about mail?
Deliveries are made to each room once a day. Outgoing mail is picked up daily.
15. May I use my own pharmacy?
Yes. We have a pharmacy available that delivers medication 24 hours a day. If you use your own pharmacy, you must make sure the medication can be delivered to us as needed.
